Christian Zupke, NCC, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Chris has taken the road less traveled on her path of being a Licensed Professional Counselor. Chris began her career with a Bachelor’s Degree in American History and a career in the Advertising field. These adventures did not meet Chris’ passion to help others. Chris began her path to becoming a Psychodynamic Counselor with an internship in a treatment foster care program where she used her creativity, compassion, empathy, problem solving skills, humor, communication skills and her desire to educate to help children, adolescents and families overcome trauma, learn the skills to be successful in their lives, gain self-esteem/self-confidence, understand the connection between the brain and actions and to achieve any goal they had a desire to accomplish. Chris’ experience continues with her volunteer work in her local park where she works to have a positive impact on her local environment and where she can spend time with her favorite creatures on earth, dogs.
Chris loves being a counselor because she knows what it feels like to feel “bad”, to not understand “why” and not to be at a loss on “how” to fix it. While Chris utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Psycho-education, Chris’ greatest assets as a counselor is her down to earth personality who will laugh, cry and celebrate every accomplishment with each person who trusts her to lead them through their path of counseling and self-discovery.
